JW Marriott Bucharest
So, Rob was in the area delivering some aid to a neighboring country and I needed a place to prepare for the journey and to return to afterwards. The JW Marriott in Bucharest was a great spot that accommodated that, and well, it's a JW, and I have a thing for this brand.Arrival
Well, since it was a bit crazy at first trying to understand the public transport in Bucharest, I just opted for a car organized by the hotel. The Room
The best upgrade I could garner was a Grand Superior Room, which is a pretty large king room with a sofa living area, *almost* a Junior Suite.

Dining
Some JWs have little dining, some have a crazy amount. This one is gearing towards the crazy end. Several eating and drinking spots for almost any mood:- JW Steakhouse, the brand standard high-end steak place I have seen at a few JWs
- Cucina, an Italian place to eat, which was casual and had a good selection of food
- Olea, the outdoors Mediterranean spot for food and drinks at night
- Vienna Lounge, a chill spot upstairs for drinks and drinks
- Champions, an American Sports bar, for myself being from USA, well, I didn't go
- Pavilion Lounge, the bar, music at night, where I spent a good amount of time
- JW Bakery, sandwiches, and now I'm not remembering this place while I was there
Executive Lounge
Ahh, the JW Executive Lounge. My favorite spot usually in a JW (Unless I get a crazy room upgrade). This one is a really good one and very popular with guys showing off to their dates.Property Amenities
Of course, there is a gym, plus a casino and a mall in the hotel. Quite the swank affair overall.

Summary
This is the fancy hotel in town, and everyone wants to be here to be seen and to show off they can afford it. The steakhouse is great, but pricey. The mall is interesting with high end shops including Cuban cigars.Do you want the lounge? I mean, I liked it a lot, but it's not a super advantageous one for other amenities but free food and drinks. Yeah, go ahead and get it here.
